Last Child in the Woods
Last Child in the Woods, Saving Our Children from Nature-Deficit Disorder by Richard Louv is an inspirational book. Richard Louv mainly talks about children not getting enough exposure to nature and all the problems that are caused from it such as; school (academically), behavior, health, emotional feelings, anxiety and depression. He explains that children from the age of six to eleven rates of obesity has increased and two out of ten American children are obese; because instead of going outside and playing they are sitting in the house watching TV or on the computer. In 1983 Howard Gardner came up with seven intelligences, and recently he added a new one; naturalist intelligence. When this describes a person it means they are able to recognize plants, animals and many other parts of nature; which everyone should be able to do. Not only are the characterizations of this additional intelligence just being able to recognize parts of nature, but the person has to have a love for, an int erest for and care about nature and all its parts. Physical Education in schools is not how it was when I was in school.Children only get about 30 minutes and that usually contains them doing an organized sport they may not be interested in or and running from one fence to another. When Louv talks about children being outside in nature, which does not mean on the blacktop, he refers to a ââ¬Å"greenâ⬠area. Schools are also beginning to cut out recess, which all children need. Research says nature can be used as a theory for children with ADHD and can sometimes take the place of their medication, Ritalin. The more ââ¬Å"greenâ⬠children with ADHD and ADD are around the better they are all together, especially in school. They are able to focus and concentrate more, have a higher attention span, they are more creative, get along better with others, are able to deal with peer pressure, and will have a better behavior. There are many teenagers who have never been outside of t heir urban city and have never been in a ââ¬Å"greenâ⬠area for a long period of time. Once they have that experience that will change their whole life and there way of thinking. They will know and understand how beautiful and important nature is to them and others. Computers are beginning to take over schools and because of that music classes are being dropped and art classes are becoming less and less hands-on and have less to do with nature. What school districts and some educators fail to understand is nature helps with childrenââ¬â¢s cognitive learning. Many children are associating outside with fear. They are afraid to go outside and wander by themselves.Sometimes part of that fear comes from their parents trying to protect them and telling them about strangers, and about people getting hurt; little do they know that instead of helping parents are putting fear in their children. If a child is bored, one thing they can do is go outside. Children do not like going outsid e or being around nature often, but if you expose children to nature while they are still babies they will learn to find interest for it and the child will rarely complain about being bored. Nature builds self confidence, which a lot of young children lack, it also makes them stronger.Nature is no where in the schools curriculum, but it is important for educators to add it in as many ways as they possibly can. The problem is some educators fail to realize how important nature is to children. When I begin teaching I plan to have some of my class outside in the ââ¬Å"greenâ⬠, sitting on the grass and or underneath a tree. When the whether permits we will have our reading and meditation time outside for sure. Our meditation time will be time for the children to get everything out of there system that is stressing them in any way.I will try my best to implement nature into my as many of my lessons as I can. The classroom will be full of plants and a couple of small classroom pets, and it will be the studentââ¬â¢s responsibility to take care of them. That will help them to learn to love, respect, appreciate, care for and how to take care of nature. Even just having plants and animals inside the classroom will help the children with their everyday lives and during the day especially when the whether does not permit us to go outside and enjoy what nature has to offer.Children in environmental based programs tend to do better then those students in traditional programs. Taking the students on field trips that have to do with the lesson tends to be very effective. The children seem to take in more and enjoy it better then just sitting in a classroom. From the age of learning to walk and being able to play outside without my mom to elementary school my childhood was very similar to the baby-boomers in this book.I use to climb trees, make mud pies with my best friend, go in the woods just to play hide-and-seek, play in the rain fully clothed, etc. I remember whe n I was in middle school I would rush to get done with my homework so I could go outside and play with my friends in my neighborhood. We did not play in ââ¬Å"greenâ⬠areas as much as we played on paved roads, but just being outside felt wonderful. When I was not allowed to go outside with my friends on weekdays and weekends, I remember I would cry because I loved being outside that much.We would ride our bikes and scooters or skate downtown to the boardwalk, play basketball, kickball and other kind of sports in the church, that most of us attended, parking lot that was near to our houses. It wasnââ¬â¢t until I was in the eighth grade when going outside was no long interesting to me. I was more interested in playing computer games, games on my play station, watching TV or just talking on the phone to my friends. Similar to the book, around that time my mom was scared to let me go too far from the house, because she was afraid something might happen to me.I had to be in fron t of the house by the time the street lights came on. Just like what was happening to a couple of the children in the book, I think my mom trying to protect me by telling me ââ¬Å"donââ¬â¢t go too far, because something might happenâ⬠scared me more than anything else and that might be what made me enjoy being inside more. I remember when I was in about sixth or seventh grade, my family and I went on a skiing trip in northern Virginia. My step-dad, mom and I drove from South Carolina to Sterling, Virginia to meet my aunt, her husband and their two children. The next morning at about five oââ¬â¢clock A.M. we began loading the bus for the ride to the ski resort. I know on the ride to the resort the scenery was beautiful, but just like any other child would do I slept, listened to my CDââ¬â¢s, and played with my cousin, instead of paying attention to nature as we rode by the mountains and more. Once we finally arrived after what seemed like a long drive I started to feel myself getting excited, because unlike my aunt and her family I never went skiing. The next day we went to the slopes and I had the best time I think I ever had still to this day. I really got a chance to see how beautiful nature really is.I took ski lessons and would ski on the small slope over and over again until I was comfortable enough to accomplish the true slope. In order to get to the top of the slope you had to get on this ride that took you all the way to the top, which allowed people to see everything. That was a very beautiful site; we looked down on the whole ski resort and the area around it, with the snow on the trees and Greenland. I believe this trip and my trips to Hawaii and Barbados are what made me fall in love with nature. After seeing the beautiful scenery and the clear blue water in the islands,I began to love, cherish, care for, and become interested in nature more than I was prior to the vacations. This book is very important to science education, because science is the simplest subject to incorporate nature into. Educators can almost add the students being in contact with nature to any lesson on their curriculum pattern for their grade level. When most students reach high school science becomes boring and the subject they despise the most and I believe a phenomenal way to keep them involved and interested in science is by implementing nature in the lessons

A Lifeââ¬â¢s Music Essay
Taking a deeper look at a passage, pages 5-6, out of Andreà ¯ Makineââ¬â¢s book A Lifeââ¬â¢s Music, you get a real sense of his style and the appropriateness of its title. Makine shows his skills as a writer in this book, you read so much music in the book and when read out loud it is literally music to your ears. The book almost flows as you read it and so makes it a joy to read. He uses a lot of literary devices to give you this sense of music and flow; onomatopoeia, metaphor, smiles and adjectives. In this passage, pages 5-6, Makine uses a vast amount of onomatopoeic words such as; ââ¬Ëcrunchââ¬â¢, ââ¬Ëcracklesââ¬â¢, ââ¬Ëhissesââ¬â¢, ââ¬Ëwailââ¬â¢, ââ¬Ëwhimperingsââ¬â¢. He has them in the whole passage, as well as the book. Because of this Makine gives the book a sense of music, by this I mean that the book not only has onomatopoeic words and also reads like music, when read out loud, but also feels like music when read. Makine is so clever, he manages to make the book into music and thanks to this, you are completely and utterly engrosses into the book, once you have started reading it, youââ¬â¢ll not stop. Another show of his cleverness is his opening line of the book ââ¬Å"I have just woken up, having dreamed of music.â⬠(P.5 L.1) Makine introduces us to the first chapter of his book with stating that he (unnamed character) has dreamed of music and from then on in the book is filled and consists of music. It is a very clever way of starting the book, the first line of the book and we are lead in with music and what a strange sentence, dreaming of music, one does not usually dream of music. Within the first two sentences you can depict the style of the book, music. The music in this passage is not very a happy one, in fact it is rather depressing and rough; ââ¬Å"Snore call out to one another(.)â⬠, ââ¬Å"The wail of an infant(.)â⬠, ââ¬Å"An ocean swell of sighs(.)â⬠and ââ¬Å"The wind wips(.)â⬠. All of these quotations give you an image of a rather miserable place, not somewhere you would want to be. Makine uses these quotations really well; they give you a great feel for the place and of the atmosphere at the train station. The music in the passage is really well used to describe the feelings of the people at the station ââ¬Å"The wail of an infant rings out very clearly in the darkness, fades into little whimperings as it suck, falls silent.â⬠(P5-6 L.21-23) The music is used to show the extent of the infantââ¬â¢s unhappiness and its progressions as the emotion subsides. You get a feel of the infantââ¬â¢s urgency for the object that it seeks and once received the infant calms and so does the loudness of the music. Furthermore he uses music to show us the peopleââ¬â¢s responses to things ââ¬Å"An ocean swell of sighs ripples through the waiting-room. But the truth is that no one expects anything more.â⬠(P.6 L.28-30) The waiting people get told their train is delayed and as you would expect they sigh the point is, they sigh in such a way that it sounds just like an the ocean. Here Makine does not solely use and an onomatopoeic word, but also a metaphor ââ¬Ëan ocean swell of sighsââ¬â¢. This gives you an image of the people sighing just like they would do a Mexican wave and it gives the sound of the sigh such a magnitude. Furthermore this quotation is a great example in the passage of how the book flows from one sentence to the next. Along with Makineââ¬â¢s great use of music, he uses a lot of adjectives and they go hand in hand with his music. His adjectives give this passage a tone of violence and it constantly affects the atmosphere ââ¬Ëhurlsââ¬â¢, ââ¬Ëshoutââ¬â¢, ââ¬Ëbeatââ¬â¢, ââ¬Ëgrudginglyââ¬â¢ and ââ¬Ëhardnessââ¬â¢. With the soldiers the adjectives are used to give this sense of potential violence ââ¬Å"(A) muffled shout of laughter, then a crunch of a fragment of glass under a foot, an oath. Two soldiers (â⬠¦) beat a path through the mass of huddled bodies.â⬠(P.5 L.16-20) These soldiers give off this feel of violence, it seems if provoked they would fight and they seem to want to fight, they ââ¬Ëbeat a pathââ¬â¢ through a mass of people, they are provoking the people to stand up say something about their behaviour. Furthermore at the end of the passage Makine uses simile to further enhance his tone of violence; ââ¬Å"(I)t looks like a battlefield strewn with deadâ⬠¦Ã¢â¬ (P.6 L.45) This simile really ties a bow on the tone, at this point there is no longer the possibility for there to be doubt over the tone. You are given such an image of violence this mass of people at the train station are laying down on this hard floor and they are so unmoving and massed together they just look like a mass of corpses. It is quite a horrifying image. In conclusion Andreà ¯ Makineââ¬â¢s style is very clearly music, the sound and the flow of it, and he uses onomatopoeia to translate it into the book and does so very successfully. He uses metaphors to emphasize the music in the book and the metaphors also help to give the music an increased magnitude. In combination with these literary devices Makine also uses similes and a through use of adjectives to make the music in the book stand out and to help the book flow from one sentence to the next. I personally really loved this book, it has stuck out as book among the books I have thus far read and I think it will continue to do so. Andreà ¯ Makine is a wonderful and skilled writer, the fact that he gave this book its title A Lifeââ¬â¢s Music is no wonder at all, it breathes music.
Joseph Pulitzer
Joseph Pulitzer Joseph Pulitzer was born April 10, 1847 he died October 29, 1911 Joseph was from Mako, Hungary he immigrated to the U. S. in 1864 then he moved to St. Louis . After Josephââ¬â¢s father died his business went bankrupt and his family became pour. When he was seventeen years old he attempted to join the Austrian army, the British Army, and the Napoleon's Foreign Legion but had gotten denied because of his bad eyesight and poor health. Pulitzer came to serve in the American Civil War in the Lincoln Calvary from 1864-1865.Then he worked his way up to St. Louis, Missouri he only went there because of the German population, since he spoke perfect German and French but had a hard time with English. Joseph Pulitzer was really energetic, wild about seeking fame he was brilliant and independent. Since Joseph was really rich he was able to go to private schools and be tutored by private tutors. While Joseph was in chess he caught attention of the editor of a local German langu age newspaper after they had a conversation Pulitzer then ended up having a journalism job for the Westliche Post.Four years later he had been a hard working reporter with the owners that were having a problems with not selling a lot of newspapers he was also offered a big interest. In the newspaper which he sold about 30, 00 dollars profit and gave the owners there profit. Before he was a journalist he worked as a Mule tender, waiter, and hack driver and for several lawyers. Pultizer was nominated for the state legislature by the Republicans in 1969, and won. Now he was an American Citizen, a speaker, writer, and editor and mastered English extremely well. Yellow Jour nalism ââ¬â came from a popular New York World comic calls ââ¬Å"Hoganââ¬Ës Alleyâ⬠which featured a yellow-dressed character. Some dramatic event happened during the 1890s United States went war with Spain led by the newspaper owners William Randolph Hearst and Joseph Pulitzer. They used romance and hyperbole to sell millions of newspapers as they say called yellow journalism. This battle went from 1895 to about 1898 Joseph went crazy on making the New York World newspaper he made it filled with pictures, games and contests and new readers got interested but most of all crime stories were filled with many pages since he was trying to get a lot of readers he only sold the newspapers for two cents ,but he sometimes gave the readers eight to twelve pages of information. In 1872 Joseph created his first newspaper he had made a profit of about 3 million dollars. In 1883 when Joseph was thirty six years old and won over New York World newspaper and was qualified the principles that led to success also with his St. Louis paper. By 1898 was selling 15 million copies a day Pulitzer created the modern newspaper he caught the democrat's eye. Pulitzer changed the way Americans saw the newspaper he created a certain way that other newspapers didnââ¬â¢t . Pulitzer paid his reporters high salaries but expected and demanded hard work from them.He used illustrations and cartoons to attract the readers he began to start including a lot of drawings for the children a lot of pages that give color and something for the kids to look at it he called it ââ¬Å"Sunday Funniesâ⬠. Pulitzer was the master of detailing stories about crime, sex, and disaster. He always had his reporters using bold headlines, illustrious and diagrams for the murder scenes Pulitzer was one of those people that a successful newspaper had to entertain as well telling the truth and listing the facts.Joseph had gotten married in 1878 to Katie Davis at the Protestant Episcopal Church. Joseph a nd Katie have seven kids Joseph was a difficult husband and living with him was hard because he had emotional problems. He was knows as a distant parent never was a really good father and wasnââ¬â¢t there for his children. Joseph spent most of his time away from his family traveling a lot of places then he lived close to his yacht called the Liberty. Pulitzer had a lot of medical issues with him like asthma, diabetes, insomnia, chronic exhaustion, and manic depression. In 1889 he had become blind then October 29, 1911 at age 64 Joseph Pulitzer died because of a heart attack while he was aboard on his yacht in New York Harbor. My opinion about Joseph Pulitzer is a really hard worker and he tried hard in life to be successful never really toke brakes. He was really obsessed with his work didnââ¬â¢t really know a lot about how to be a father or husband he had a lot of problems but never tried to fix them because he cared about the money. He did so much to get to where he is today n ever really cared about family didnââ¬â¢t have anybody else but family. He wasnââ¬â¢t close to people nor did he have a lot of friends but where he was before and now really successful and brilliant the best journalist that has ever lived with the work he did amazingly creative. He knew how to get peopleââ¬â¢s attention in a way other newspapers didnââ¬â¢t seeing everything from Americaââ¬â¢s point of view Pulitzer had a marvelous talent nothing let him give up or quite. After Pulitzer was getting old and tired his focus was on creating a journalism school give some money to build it, in 1912 Columbia University accepted its first class in the school of Journalism but also the money he gave 2million dollars that was given was used for annual prizes to journalist and writers. The first one was given in 1917 but Pulitzer being dead he couldnââ¬â¢t see how the university he created was helpful and successful. The Pulitzer Prize is given every year to honor achievements in journalism, literature, and music Pulitzer also gave traveling scholarships.

A View of Crisis Intervention for Psychotherapy - myassignmenthelp
Social work practice deals with helping people obtain visible services in terms of either counselling and psychotherapy with people and groups, it aims at helping them improve their social being and also their health services. For this to be carried out it requires knowledge of the human behaviour on how he she carry out the social and cultural well-being of institutions. it can also be referred to as a helping profession as its main aim is to boost a societies faults into good tidings especially in the regions where a problem is rampant Thyer (2010).à There is also the aspect of Management which comes from the word manage which means to forecast and to plan, to show authority over while coordinating and controlling how things are to be done and handled Thyer (2010).à Theoretically, it involves knowing how to be able to control this basic point so as to contribute to the success of an enterprise, the basics are identifying the rules, procedures, objective and mission. Management is normally handled by those in the lead of the chain in the hierarchy in the aspect of directors and managers who have the clearance to make decisions that critically carry the stability of the company. Sizes of management vary depending on the type of business as the size matters so as to be able to put it in check Sandhu, (2010).à The issue being investigated here is crisis intervention which is in a way of ensuring that a person has the proper mental tools in place and also physically so as to be able to use problems as therapeutic leverage for good positive outcomes and also the management of clients. Its priority is increasing stabilisation, it normally occurs without being prepared for in other terms at the spur of the moment type of way and happens in all types of settings, by so it can cause trauma. Crisis intervention aims at offering a helpful hand to the people who are given care due to having abnormal amounts of stress which render a person unfit even to work, it tries to stop the downward spiral that a worker may be experiencing and at least return them to their pre-crisis functioning. It occurs in societal levels and personal thus itââ¬â¢s a big problem that is seen around but proper ways of dealing with it are not avidly followed up Wainrib (2008).à Trauma is the process whereby a person or society experiences a given occurrence that changes their outlook on things in so that they get demoralised and lose their self-esteem and social support. It is normally captured when you see a person making threats to kill themselves, witnessing homicide or losing their belongings in terms of things that they hold really dear to themselves and cannot see themselves carrying out a task without the thing they have lost. Some of the instances that require intervention range from school shootings, natural calamities and the terrorist attacks. This type of crisis is handled by the counsellors as their basic concern is assessing the individualââ¬â¢s awareness of resources, as a personââ¬â¢s first reactions are being in denial and in shock. The crisis intervention has 6 stages that are used to help individuals and societies to regain a sense of control and restore them to their basic selves. The first stage is defining the problem, this is where the issue at hand is put in front and checked into so as to know what the problem is. By this, it helps create a bond between yourself and the person who experienced the crisis.at this stage, the aspect of being an active listener helps a lot as it Is what is used to be able to give a direct answer to what happened and why. The second stage is keeping the client safe, this is in regards to safety precautions given where the client is checked whether he she is on verge of committing suicide or homicide. So, by the aspect of keeping the client safe, they ought to remove the client's access to equipment that they may use to hurt or hurt others with, in so saying cutting of means to suicide Wainrib (2008).à Step three falls on giving support whereby when the problem at hand has been handled and also clearly defined the crisis worker should take in the client warmly and accommodate them. This is done so that they know they are loved and cared for as the crisis personnel can even chip in on the cost of basic needs for them in order to help them recuperate appropriately, and also ensuring they understand and know that there are open options of ways they can get assistance to be well Thyer (2010).à The fourth option is examining alternatives which entail the client being able to further looking into what they have and looking into what options they have to deal with the problem at hand.à à A crisis worker comes in at the point where he she finds a clientââ¬â¢s coping skills with the encountered problem is becoming difficult and they are not being able to control the situations that come into play. Thus, on examining alternatives it tries to help this type of people by having three categories of potential options being, situational supports who are people who work or live with the affected person and personnel who care about what actually happens to them. There are the coping mechanisms are the resources that a client can use to get through a tough change as it helps them partake in things they love doing so as to keep their minds very positive and to ensure they are able to recover smoothly and explore what they used to do in the past, present and future. The third aspe ct is having positive and constructive thinking patterns which imply having diverse ways of thinking that can be used to help the clients re-invent themselves. The fifth step is making plans this occurs after the clients have trusted the crisis worker the main step of this is to try to ensure the client regains control of their life and can help provide the client with additional support. The plans put in place ought to be realistic and must ensure it gives the clients a feeling of optimism when working forward to achieve the goals set. It aims at discontinuing the pattern of oppressing clients as it will lead to poor things. The final step of this process is getting a commitment. This is where the client and their supervisor make a schedule where the client keeps tabs on what he does and occasionally meet up with the crisis worker to ensure they are going on the right path. The social work in this is clearly seen when the crisis workers are introduced to kerb a growing problem and are used to trim down the effects of the encountered task. The theoretical paradigm in regards to the crisis intervention it states that its important for the people to take care of the situations arising in order to be able to tackle the rest that follows.à It is of dire importance for the social workers to be highly skilled so as to be able to help people in crisis. They also help individuals in decreasing their emotions of helplessness and isolation and uses social resources in making the clients regain back their normal self. Such methods that are undertaken are done through acceptance, validation, reassurance, education and brokering resources. The way of crisis intervention works with the notion of having emotional and confidentiality stability with oneââ¬â¢s client in order to give services in a top-notch way Denicolo (2012).à There are acute stress and trauma management protocols that are put in stages they include, assessing for danger in terms for safety for self and also other allies, this is for the victim and counsellor who might have been affected by the trauma. After that, they should consider the mechanism of injury in regards to physical or perceptual. When injury has been looked at the victimââ¬â¢s responsiveness should be gauged, this comes into place as when medical needs are neededà Crisis intervention relevance in the topic social work whereby social work is described in the beginning of this research says that it deals with helping people obtain visible services in terms of either counselling or psychotherapy with people and groups, it aims at helping them improve their social being and also their health services. For this to be carried out it requires knowledge of the human behaviour on how he she carry out the social and cultural well-being of institutions. it can also be referred to as a helping profession as its main aim is to boost a societies faults into good tidings especially in the regions where a problem is rampant. Social work practice is relevant in crisis intervention as people have considerable capacitates for handling the problematic situations faced. Stressful events do not cause crises they are actually determined by the feedback due to specific stressful circumstances. The aspect of social work in terms of crisis intervention can also be seen in the structure of Rakuten groups organisations as it starts off with the board of directors these are the people who govern and manage the company and make important decisions like appointing the CEO. They oversee the companyââ¬â¢s growth and businesses while assessing better roads to partake. The group headquarters follows suite as thatââ¬â¢s the main area where the companyââ¬â¢s major operations lay it fosters the branches of the company and ensures they operate accordingly Denicolo (2012).à After that, the company division falls after that followed by the finance and accounting division where all finances or matters dealing with finance are handled here itââ¬â¢s a department solely majoring on that so as to majorly look for ways to improve n to monitor money usage. Thereââ¬â¢s then the technology division that does the information technology duality and tries to keep the company updated on softwareââ¬â¢s to use and to help the company keep up with demanding technology and how to fuse it into their system. The operation and marketing division deals with how the day to day activities are being run and also chips in by marketing and selling the companyââ¬â¢s products to consumers to broaden the companyââ¬â¢s horizon. The HR administration deals with firing and hiring of people in the organisation it helps run the companyââ¬â¢s need for people to work gets the people and trains them on how to work with and in the organisation. This structure is made in a way that it helps the company build its brand and make it be as stable and conducive producing the top-notch products and services giving it itââ¬â¢s all in the various departments so as itââ¬â¢s an equal status on work Lincoln & Gerlach, (2010).à In regards to its culture, it has a unique corporate culture as it brings about the spirit of entrepreneurship and a sense of unity. The design of the companyââ¬â¢s workplaces sustains and makes the diversity more appealing. The culture is followed strictly as itââ¬â¢s what they are used to and what helps them be better and stand out from the rest. In their culture, they have the Asakai -morning meetings where all employees attend and is held once per week where the head Mr Hiroshi Mikitani covers his views on what he wants to see being taken underplay and also updates from the various personal businesses within the Rakuten group. This Asakai is vital as the employees are able to share their thoughts and difficulties with the head management so as to see if the solution can be found. It I really vital as it is done the beginning of every week so as to kick start the week with momentum. The Asakai is held in high regards as it helps focus everyoneââ¬â¢s mind on the things being brought up while being discussed Wischenbart, (2012). The weekly desk cleaning culture, this has been the trait since the founding of the company right up to the CEO whereby every employee is mandated to clean their desk area once a week this was started so as the employees mind would be free to think and know that they are all connected to the company in their own different aspects. This tightens the bond as the whole company at that moment showcases unity as one team which directly shows in what it gives it in service is top notched. Asakai structural design this is quite unique aspect of culture as the building is set up in a way that the podium is easily visible from every direction and the audio is made to be of high-quality to allow proper video conferencing to feel very good so as every person to feel as though they are attending a said meeting Bartol & Martin (2014).à Another angle in their culture that helps them stand out is they present what matters which keeps the people up to date with activities that are in the public eye. There is also the lively questions and answers that are usually in the morning meetings that makes it a hardbound character which is hard to break apart as it largely falls on policies set and given and is executed with sharp minds. Commending outstanding employees this helps in making the company have competitive workers in the organisation and by commending them helps to uplift their spirits that what they are doing is worthwhile and the company does appreciate their efforts Wis Chen Bart, (2012).à Workspace is a comfortable and working environment that allows proper active communication whereby space is good enough and there are no apparent distractions that can thwart oneââ¬â¢s concentration levels, as a good working environment means a happy client and happy worker. Has a cafeteria that offers all meals free of charge to encourage positive growth and also to give the workers proper breaks during their working hours to stretch eat and be health and be okay while working there offering a subtle environment. The innovative culture leads to success this is clearly seen as the company is able to add up new techniques to make the employees be able to operate and execute smoothly their work without many problems. Technology is highly regarded as the most upcoming and blooming venture where if many things are up to date the flow of information and processing increases drastically giving it a competitive edge. The leadership of the Rakuten group is by Hiroshi Mikitani who founded the group and is the chief executive. He is a hands-on leader who carries out his duties diligently and is humble in his tidings as he avails himself in all meetings and weekly talks to his employees and allows them to ask questions and ideas to improve the company and also their working space. Through this type of leadership of being able to participate in the working of the company build a united team as the workers get encouraged by such Denicolo (2012).à Transformation leadership is where the boss works hand in hand with subordinates to note needed things to change n make a good visionary move of where to be. This brings up success in an organisation where itââ¬â¢s the accomplishment of a target one has put for themselves and works hand in hand to achieve the said targets put up. All these try to show how crisis intervention is tried to be reached by incorporating actions where the business growth and leadership skills help garner proper ways to deal with problems encountered when in face to face with troubles. It tries to show how social work is beneficial and how it gives options and ways to work hand in hand with the personnel who get affected by either catastropheââ¬â¢s that would occur and damage clients in an organisation. CSR acts as a self-regulation which gets incorporated in a business idea. à It has an aspect called Information management which deals with running an organisations information resources so as to be able to help improve the performance of the business. It focuses on the activities that are needed to control a companyââ¬â¢s records as the personnel are referred to as important but not critical resources. It uses information technology resources and also by virtue of overseeing information resources. Knowledge management is the process of creating, acquiring, sharing and using the information acquired in order to allow learning in organisations. It carries people as a critical component to being supervised, as it is strategized to help improve the businesses performance and also add value to an organisation through a set key of processes which involve knowledge sharing Malloch (2013).à All these aspects of management fall under the CSR as they help integrate the protocols broug ht in hand to be accustomed and placed in the working system of an organization. I agree that the CSR is really important to an organization as it benefits both the society and the organist ion as both of them end in gaining from the ongoing aspect which is advantageous. It brings about positive competition and those which have good potential of making the environment better and safer for normal workings. Some of the advantage of CSR are improves the overall outlook of an organization this acts as a plus as an organization may get a good will value just for having incorporated the responsibility point as it shows commitment of good tidings. Another point is that it increases the keeping of employees and indirectly acts as a marketing tool whereby it attracts more clients as it is seen to encompass the worth to respect the social responsibilities quota Denicolo (2012) When regulatory authorities know that an organization follows the rules that set-in place they behave very well. This in turn acts as an added advantage to an organization as it does not get roughed up and rudely interrupted to show whether it follows the said rules by this it gives the company a fast-paced reference which it optimizes and allows it to be better Contreras (2010).à As the organization grows and expand s more it branches in more diverse ways allowing the organization to explore more alternatives on the environment and try see whether more output can be handed out in an easy understandable way. The aspect of good image brings in investors who are attracted to an organization as they see it follows orders and that it adds up new tactic to be better and also help out in community duties. This factor facilitates the image uplift and also can make the government want to do investments with the organization as they also would want to be associated with organizations that are friendly and following the rules concerning the environment. The making of renewable energy from the worlds own ground in terms of the environment this acts as a big change in the organization and it impacts it itself by virtue of adhering to the protocols put in place to follow the given guidelines without fail and to honor their green code.à By virtue of having a resound mind the organization is able to explore more wid range ideas like the aspect of investing in renewable energy sources where it can largely benefit as it has carried out research on what to do and when to do it Contreras (2010).à Setbacks that are encountered in terms of when having to implement the social responsibility plan is that there happens to be movements moving on the profits margin to the set targets of the organization. By this there is the policy of the unknown which states that a companyââ¬â¢s first calling is to make profits not having investments thus due to this it alters the outflow of money and cuts down the rates of profits Norris (2012). When a company is planning to disclose its shortcoming it momentarily suspends itself in a position where it may take a hit that may create an unplanned for catastrophe in terms of destabilizing an organization planning relations. Proper carrying out of implementation lays out advantages that foster boosted markets and capital. It transcends the act of ethics as the organization is able to walk with its head held high as it fully shows how it has matured and diversified thus helping the social responsibilities act by ensuring the environment is safe guarded and protected. In an organization are able to see the usefulness of waste materials and are encouraged to recycle them back so as they can be fully utilized with insight to others do not disintegrate thus reuse is a good fit for the organization Hopkins (2007). The relevance of human rights is seen in organizations due to the drastic growth in market structure.à It is deemed that they act as the pillars that upraise the standards of an organization growing and facilitate the transformation from a small business into a corporation, this is so as the grown organizations tend to carry the weight of being socially responsible to what occurs in order to be able to influence potential investors and consumers. An outstanding aspect of the crisis prevention is the way in which it carries itself full of dominance in angle of acting in a responsible way and also sustainability wise. These two are so as it encourages the reduction in workload with the local authorities and also pinpoints new opportunities presenting themselves in front of the budding plan. Companies are encouraged to incorporate the CSR into their systems as it has more of profits than limitations thereby giving a company a competitive edge over its competitorââ¬â¢s due to having a good ear in following up in the intervention series learning in an organization. The benefits of social work are majorly not in terms of financially or material wise. its satisfaction is trying to get the world working much better as they are driven by the notion of having a great desire to help people. Crisis intervention aims at offering a helpful hand to the people who are given care due to having abnormal amounts of stress which render a person unfit even to work, it tries to stop the downward spiral that a worker may be experiencing and at least return them to their pre-crisis functioning. It occurs in societal levels and personal thus itââ¬â¢s a big problem that is seen around but proper ways of dealing with it are not avidly followed up Wainrib (2008). On the benefits both the client and the worker receive an ongoing feedback as they continue succeeding in the pursuit of resuming stability. In some scenarios plans can be changed in advance depending on the outcomes that occur. Also in other perspectives, timely corrective feedback helps in catching and rectifying harmful unintended effects at a very early point, in situations where there needs to be done a careful review the practice is sort of given a guesswork type of frame on it. The practice deals with helping people obtain visible services in terms of either counselling and psychotherapy with people and groups, it aims at helping them improve their social being and also their health services. Private Browsing Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 750 words
Private Browsing - Essay Example This paper will discuss the possible uses of the ââ¬Ëprivacy browsingââ¬â¢ feature at home or the workplace (Foley, 2008). The uses of this feature, whether at home or at work, include instances whereby the surfer is using their personal information on another personââ¬â¢s computers ââ¬â or from a shared computers. This is particularly important in instances where the sites to be browsed are commonly surfed, including YouTube and Facebook as the privacy feature will help them to browse and not tamper with the history of other users or those of the owner of the computer. Through the feature, the surfer will access the common sites, yet leave stored passwords and user names of the original user untouched or unchanged. An example, is where the surfer starts a private session; therefore, they do not require the other user to log out (Trapani, 2005). The feature is useful at home or work when debugging or testing different websites. This is particularly true when the surfer needs to debug or test areas that are cookie-related in a session. For example, when using cookie-based platforms, the surfer can open two different sessions of the same site ââ¬â for instance that for the user and administrator ââ¬â at the same time in order to speed the process. The feature is helpful when the surfer wants to manage different Google application accounts. One example is that of an internet user who has different application accounts, which they use for work and other areas of interest, for instance volunteer professions. This case may include that of a surfer who wants to check different ââ¬Å"Google Docsâ⬠accounts, without linking the documents contained in the two accounts (Foley, 2008). In the modern times of social websites and major work and professional activities on the internet, the feature helps the surfer to hide the information areas that they accessed so that any visitor will not know the information bases or the peopleââ¬â¢s profiles they reviewed.

Visual Analysis Paper Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1250 words
Visual Analysis Paper - Essay Example Images, which possess content of narration including those from the numerous scenes that form the basis of life of the virgin, have no correct mentioning as Madonna images, even though they get a title, which mirrors such scenes as the Annunciation to Mary (Crowe 101). The representations of Mary became more widespread following her proclamation as God-bearer during 431 at the Ephesus Council. For over a millennium, through the Medieval, Early Renaissance and the Byzantine periods, the Madonna has been the mainly frequently fashioned pictorial artwork. Numerous precise imageries of the Madonna, both sculptured and painted, have attracted fame, either as substances of religious admiration or for their inherent artistic qualities. The majority of the most prominent sculptors and pictures in the art history have shifted their abilities toward the establishment of the Madonna imageries. The painting of this artwork was by part of the mainly influential artists during the 13h and 14 centu ries, Duccio di Buoninsegna. The iconic picture of Madonna and Child, seen all through the western art history, holds considerable worth because of technical innovations bearing the religious matter, which would carry on evolving for centuries. The Madonna and Child artwork has received wide acknowledgements as Duccioââ¬â¢s working during the past century. ... Looking over the sudden simplicity of the imagery, a person could start understanding the transformations that Duccio applied in representing the figures of religion of painting all through the early period of the 14th century. Just like the other upcoming artists, Duccio looked up at great artists like Giotto who strove to go past the virtuously iconic byzantine standard and tried fashioning tangible linkages that would surpass the imagination of a viewer regarding the objects contained in the painting. For instance, the parapet positioned at the bottom-side of the image serves to function as a visual enticement of the observer looking past and into the occasion captured between the virgin and Christ the child. Similarly, the parapet further functions as an obstruction of the sacred and vernacular worlds (Crowe 163). Whereas during the 15th and 16th centuries marked a period in which the Italian painters made an expansion into their collections in order to include the historical hap penings, mythological subject matters and autonomous portraits. As such, Christians retained powerful holds on their occupations. Most of the artwork stemming from this period remains to be sacred. Whilst the diversity of the religious subject matters included disciplines from the Old Testament along with pictures of saints who have their dates of cult coming after the systematization of the Bible, the Madonna stood to be a prevalent subject within the renaissance iconography. Additional elements representative of Duccioââ¬â¢s interests in humanism remain to be widespread and are visible from the tenderly swathed robe adorned by the Madonna along with the lap of Christ (Crowe 172). Reduction of Aggression Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 750 words
Reduction of Aggression - Essay Example Socio-cultural perspective believes that bullying is due to the presence of specific social groups with different levels of power. Instrumental theorists take aggression as serving a useful function for the individual aggressive behavior to gain some kind of pay-off which makes it worth the risk. Aggression occurs not for the pleasure of lashing out but for the purpose of achieving some benefit (Campbell, 1997). Sep. 11th attacks were examples of instrumental aggression. They wanted to send a message to US. Study shows that children showing reactive aggression were characterized by higher self-control, especially constructiveness, at each age and better adult adjustment (Pulkkinen, 1995). There exist popular and unpopular subtypes of aggressive children who have different peer affiliation patterns (Farmer et al. 2002). Thus there are two social worlds of aggression in school: aggressive children who are marginalized by society and children who are well influenced in the social structure. This view is supported by studies showing that some children who are perceived as popular in social network use physical or social form of aggression to promote and keep their influence and position in the social hierarchy while other aggressive students are picked-on and victimized by seniors (Adler &Adler 1998; Caims & Cairns, 2005). Hence one can conclude that that aggression is part of the general social dynamics in classrooms. Aggression Prevention Methods Many techniques and procedures can be used to prevent or avoid aggression. Some of them are discussed below. The threat of mild punishment might help to reduce aggression. Mild punishment and education when applied in pair has helped to reduce the bullying behavior in students. Anger management is another effective technique. Stress management training approach (Beck and Fernandz, 1996) to anger management, as given below, is an effective three phase process Phase 1 Identification of factors triggering anger Rehearsal of self statement intended to prevent anger (I can handle this). Phase 2 Acquisition of relaxation techniques Coupling self statements with relaxation techniques after exposure to anger trigger. Phase 3 Rehearsal phase Practicing cognitive and relaxation techniques until mental and physical response can be achieved automatically. Making Choices: a Social Development Program This empirically based intervention targets third grade children who are live in a high-risk rural community that is experiencing rapid growth and changing racial and ethnic demographics.( Fraser, n.d.)
